As we approach Spring 2012, we are leaning that it has become a necessity to live on the wild side! Whether it’s color-blocking, experimenting with neons or chunky futuristic jewelry, we are seeing pops in color and an 80′s inspired theme. And the theme continues with super bold prints! It’s time to step up your fashion fabulousity with vibrant, swirling, styled head to toe patterns that we’ve been seeing sashay down the runways.

If you haven’t been as thrilled with the bright and bold hues, this is the perfect time to replace that with bold prints! Your prints don’t have to be blinding. You can stick to your old friends black and white and still stand out! DVF makes great black and white printed wrap dresses that flatter almost all body types. Pair them with black boots or a nude heel. A neutrally printed skirt is easy to work with and you can stick to black and white as your top. Gold jewelry compliments black and white well, so try a chunky tiered gold necklace, or a long gold chain.

If pushing fashion to the limit is your things then you have a lot of prints and patterns to look forward to this season! Eagerly embrace the bright colors, big florals, and bold graphics for a sure to stand out style! No matter what print you go for, wear them as a more relaxed fit. Don’t go overboard with a tight skirt or fitted skin tight dress. If you are working with separates, they work best with black. Since the prints are so eye-catching, let the accessories take a back seat. Play around with geometric shapes, over-sized florals or even animalistic prints. If you’ve adapted to the wild side, experiment with parrots, elephants, or jaguars. If this seems a little foreign to you, you aren’t alone. BUT, we’ve seen the most unusual and unconventional animals showing up on skirts, tops and dresses everywhere!

From statement-making prints to cool new color combos, discover tons of new outfit ideas for the warm-weather season ahead.

The skirt is a versatile and transitional piece to have in your wardrobe arsenal. There is so much you can do with a skirt, whether at work or play. Dress up your skirt with a great pear of pumps, or go a little more casual by adding flats. One important thing about playing around with the skirt is to nail the fit! Show off your shape and wear what looks good on your body type. Make sure you are caught looking amazing!

If you’re petite and curvy, try a nipped-in waist. This style is nice because it’s curve-skimming, but not clingy. Another great look for a petite body is a full and shorter skirt. This gives the appearance of mile long legs. If you choose to wear a bold print, opt for a nude heel. (A wardrobe staple in itself!)

If you’re bigger on the bottom, go for an A-line. High-waisted is a trend that we are seeing a lot of that works for a plus-size. A high-waisted black A-line skirt will draw attention to all the right areas. Pair with a tailored top for an hourglass shape. Don’t be afraid to show off your waist! You can add a pair of textured tights with a wedge or heeled black boot for a slimming effect.

For all the pear-shaped women out there, think streamlined and show off your sexy curves. A knee length skirt will balance you out. You can add a thick belt to accentuate your waist even more. Because of the length of the skirt, I highly recommend wearing heels or wedges to give some height to your look. Unless you are Giselle tall, it’s hard to pull off flats or sandals. Embrace your hips. If you learn how to work with them, you can find really figure-flatting outfits.

A skirt that looks good on most body types is the pencil skirt. Though black is wonderful for work or play, we are seeing color everywhere! Think beyond black and venture into the world of bright hues! A knee length pencil skirt has a way of adding a slimming effect. Try a deep red for fall and move towards the brighter colors as we transition into the Spring months. Make sure the waist is high, because a low riding pencil skirt can begin to look slightly sloppyand can draw attention to the stomach in a not-so flattering way.

Make sure you are flattering your figure and have fun skirtin around out there!

Realize it or not, your future is looking bright! And how can it not when a little POC is the IN trend? What exactly is POC you may ask? Well, Pop Of Color of course! Love it or hate it, neon is back and brighter than ever. Tangerine, lemon, citrine are all popular hues that have been resurrected from the 80′s. We’re starting to see store windows fill with neon pants, shirts, purses and a plethora of accessories! Put on your shades because things are going to get brights!

You can start subtle by choosing some neon accessories to add into your favorite ensemble. Try a bright orange cross-body bag or bold blue earrings to add your POC. If you are wearing a solid color, try a pair of tangerine wedges to add some spice! Vivid bangles are a fun way to incorporate the trend into your outfit. I’m a fan of multiple pops of color, so go ahead and go wild; put your oversized green hoops, bangles and eye-catching bag all together. If you choose to wear all your fave colorful accessories at once, keep it simple when it comes to your outfit. Don’t go overboard with print or opposing colors.

If you’re going to wear a neon colored top, keep the bottoms a simple, neutral color. Black and white are good choices. You can always go for khaki or beige (although natural colors like those require finesse paired with something like neon!). Don’t over accessorize since you’re already wearing a bright color, keep it simple.

I am personally a fan of the neon dress. I understand, this might not be for everyone, but nothing shows your personality like a POC! They are the ultimate definition of fun, flirty and bold! I tend to gravitate towards this in the summer months when you see more color on everyone. A hot pink or lime green dress looks amazing with a little bit of a tan and some great cork wedges. When looking to accessorize, go with white or beige. This is also a great time to wear your neutral bag.

No matter what the occasion, there is never a better time be a material girl and experiment with this updated 80′s trend. Have fun!

The Equestrian look has become essential the past few seasons and we’re seeing it trend more than ever! With so many different accessories, colors, patterns, and styles to play around with, it’s no wonder this look has taken off! Here are a few tips on how to put together an exquisite Equestrian look that is just right for you.

The blazer is a great starting point and something that most women already have in their closet. Wipe off the dust from your last interview and create your look around this piece. The blazer can be longer or shorter depending on what you are most comfortable in. We’re seeing color such as gray, black, brown and camel. You can add your pops of color in later.

There are a few different directions you can go with what you choose to put under your blazer. For a preppy look, go for a tailored blouse. You can be as simple or as flirty as you want. Go with your basic, crisp, white button up shirt or flaunt your ruffles and ties with a blouse that makes more of a statement. For a more casual (and comfortable) occasion rely on your favorite tee. Depending on the color of your blazer, go for a white, baby blue, ivory, or black.

When it comes to your bottom half, a pair of dark denim or a riding pant work best. If you go for denim, choose a darker wash and a straight or fitted cut. You can add color with a pair of bright flats or stick to a boot. Leggings have come a long way and now incorporate more of an Equestrian flare by adding a seam or patch on the inner thigh. Not only are these options comfy, but ultra chic! My favorite part of this Polo inspired look is the riding boot! You can choose a boot with great hardware or an over the knee. Go black, brown or two toned.

As with any outfit, accessorizing is always a must! Again, this is where you can add color or sparkle. Gold bangles or a large cuff bracelet can make the outfit! A tortoise long necklace that can be doubled or worn as a single strand will hold together the brown hues in your outfit. A horseshoes inspired accessory is always acceptable! Dress this look up or down depending on your occasion.

Horse around a little and go wild!

Pleats aren’t just for Catholic school girls anymore. They have come a long way and are now becoming a hot trend for Spring. In the past, pleats have conjured up ideas of ill-fitting and boxy shapes, but we are seeing a transition to a lighter fabric, brighter colors, and varying lengths to accommodate every height and body type.

The pleated maxi skirt has developed a presence all of its own! We’re seeing fun prints such as tribal ikat and bold hues that transition perfectly into the Spring and Summer months. The maxi skirt provides coverage, but keeps you cooler than a pant or jean. The pairing options seem to be endless. Tuck in a tailored blouse, go with your favorite solid tee, or a cropped cotton shirt. Add a thick belt to accentuate your waist as well as to establish the boho chic look. Compliment the belt with leather strappy flat sandals or Mohicans if you dare. The skirt looks amazing with flats or chunky boots as well.

The slim pleats can work for an office environment as well. Stick to a darker color such as navy, black or gray depending on how strict your workplace is. Again, the tailored blouse is going to look the most professional, but play with color when pairing the blouse with the skirt. I suggest a length at or just below the knee paired with tights. A pointy pump with lengthen your legs as will a sleek wedge.

The pleated maxi dress might be my newest obsession. This look is the most effortless (and comfortable). The maxi dress is ideal for travel, an afternoon coffee date, or errands. Add a floppy hat, big sunglasses and a colorful bib necklace to make a true statement. Throw it on and you’re out the door!

Plunge into pleats!

No matter how much you adore black, you can’t run from color this season! Not only have we seen less of our trusty black and gray for Winter; the Spring runway is exploding with exciting hues. It’s not this trend’s first time around the block, but it’s back with a big bang. This is a great way to put bold colors togehter in eye-catching combinations. To get started, simply combine the use of two or more blocks of color in an ensamble. This can be from top to bottom, on a dress, or by pairing a colored handbag or shoe. This is a great way to experiment with color.

If you’re a color-blocking novice, start by pairing a primary color with black or gray. The black can also add some polish to your look if you are trying to put together a work outfit. Start basic. Try your black pencil skirt and a yellow top. You can even build on this simplistic look by adding on a solid color cardigan. Another good first step it to pick a color that works for your skin tone and then personalize it. Build from the one color to start. Another way to ease into the trend, is to pair your brights with a nude for contrast.

Many color combinations can be fantastic if you’re willing to experiment! Go bright. Don’t be afraid or mixing and matching! Kelly green pants with a royal blue top is totally acceptable! There are a few rules to keep in mind. Don’t mix more than 3 colors and make sure you only have one neon color incorporated into the outfit. A good formula to keep in mind is one bright, one bold, one neutral. When I say neutral, it doesn’t necessarily mean nude. This can be black, white, gray or brown. After you have chosen your colors, keep the rest of your outfit simple. If your outfit is full of color, don’t go overboard with the bag or shoes. Pick one or the other to go bold.

Once you’ve got all your colors in place, don’t be afraid to accessorize. If you are wearing darker hues, pair it with bright accessories or vice-versa. Same goes for shoes; if you are wearing a deep blue skirt, pair with nude heels. If your skirt is white, go for the color!

This is a really fun and plaful trend. Gone is the season of muted shades. It’s time to pain the town in all colors possible!

Glitter, feathers, spikes, studs; all tempting and trendy shoe embellishments. With all the glitz and glam going on shoes now, it’s hard not to stockpile your closet with the 6″ stiletto that will only last 5 minutes on your feet. Let’s face it, we’re not Carrie from Sex and the City. Not everyone can pull off hot pink pumps with feathers. It’s time to bring it back to the basics and focus on more practical and day to day shoe wear!

The nude pump. This has almost become the new black pump! A slight peep toe pump the color of your skin is the ultimate leg lengthener and not to mention, so easy to pair with almost any color palette or print. This one is a no-brainer!

Black boots are an essential wardrobe piece these days! Perfect over jeans, leggings or tights; this can be a casual or chic look. Go for flat knee-high boot or sex it up with a sleek over the knee boot. Add a heel or wedge, but nothing too high.

Ballet Flats. We are seeing these everywhere in every color! Not only are the easy on your feet, but they are a transitional piece. Wear them right now under a skirt and tights or with your favorite skinny jeans. Wear them straight into spring and summer under your flirty sundress.

Black Pumps. You knew we couldn’t forget our old reliable! The workhorse of all workhorses, basic (but sexy!) black pumps will take you from the office to dinner and back again. The mistake many of us make (myself included!) is trying to convince ourselves that the higher, the better. Opt for a slightly chunkier heel and stick to the 3″ mark.

Metallic Sandals. The shine is in and so easy to wear and pair! Go for gold or silver (or both) and have fun pairing with any hue from white to black to hot pink! Did we mention these are a great staple with a bridesmaid dress?

Flat Leather Sandal. These have become the ultimate boho bold obsession. There are so many great options out there; braided ropes, leather tassels, super strappy. Perfect with shorts, dresses or skinnys.

Instead of vowing to lose weight this New Year, lose the blisters! Start your collection of practical and perfect shoes for a new you!

Though the weather outside is frightful, there’s no reason you can’t be absolutely delightful! Brighten up the most sullen day by wearing your winter white. The minimalist aesthetic is a clean palette that is unexpected in the grey days of winter. Forget your grandma’s rule about no white after Labor Day. White tee-shirts might be for summer, but there’s plenty more where that came from!

A winter white coat can be just what you need to stay cozy and chic this winter. This is a great transitional piece from day to night. The color is compatible with almost any outfit! Dress it up with a cute and sparkly pin or dress it down by putting on boots under. You can wear it to the office over your sheath dress or with your pumps for a night out!

A white dress can be so elegant. It can be long sleeved with a pair of black tights, or put it with colored tights and a black blazer. The nice thing about white, is that it gives you many options to accessorize. Bling out with a chunky statement necklace, dare to grab your leopard clutch, or those red shoes you bought and haven’t figured out how to wear yet. This can also be the time for a pop of color by adding a red lip.

A white cashmere sweater or cable-knit can keep you warm and festive. Easily put with your favorite jeans or a pair of black skinnys. For a more causal look, wear with leggings and boots. Again, add a pop of color with a bold scarf. With all these suggestions on how to wear white, you are sure to be winterized!

The Holidays can be hard! Between Thanksgiving dinner, holiday parties, festive treats in the office every day, and peppermint lattes to tempt you; it’s easy to feel like you’ve gone from fab to flab! Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, these holiday party dresses will get you to New Year’s and then some!

According to Glamour.com, here are ways to look party perfect! If you are short and curvy, try to show off your curves while elongating your frame. The LBD is always a safe bet, but you can also opt for darker hues such as a cranberry or navy. Some of the styles the work are a scoop neck, one shoulder, or a jeweled neckline to add polish.

For plus sizes, a deep V neckline with subtle ruching creates a gorgeous nipped in waist. Try to stay away from strapless and gravitate towards thicker straps. A tiered frock will not only look hot, but is great for the dance floor!

If you’re busty a cap sleeve can help to take away from a larger bust. You can wear something form-fitting, but nothing too low cut. Show off your curves and your your DD’s! A column dress is very flatter while diagonal waist pleating can minimize a full bust. A skewed hemline is another way to draw the eyes to another part of your body.

For a more athletic or boyish figure try something delicate and wispy. A fuller skirt will create the illusion of curves. Girly details such as a large bow or tie will soften your look. A defined waist is a must for creating the hour-glass figure.

Go fun, flirty, and flattering this season! Party on rockstars!
